About Dr. Serena Hobson
Dr. Serena Hobson is an occupational therapist, educator, and wellness advocate passionate about helping people create sustainable routines and habits for healthier, more fulfilling lives. Her educational path began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and continued with a Master’s and Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC), where she later served as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Faculty member. At USC, she worked in the Student Health Center aiding students in the development aof healthy habit and routine formation to improve academic success and well-being. Along the way, she earned certifications in yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi), gardening, and lifestyle medicine, weaving together a unique approach that integrates science, movement, mindfulness, and nature.
Dr. Hobson’s career has centered on empowering individuals and communities to prioritize wellness. As a Wellness Director in education, she developed and led comprehensive programs that nurtured students’ physical, mental, and emotional health. In every setting, she has witnessed how cultivating wellness not only boosts performance but also builds resilience, connection, and joy.
Through Lifestyle OT, Dr. Hobson is helping individuals and groups embrace evidence-based wellness practices that fit seamlessly into daily life. Beyond her professional work, she finds joy in movement, time outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and cultivating spaces that inspire growth. Her mission is simple: to share knowledge, strategies, and experiences that help people not just function, but thrive.
